Well I just thought I should write something on here since my discouraging post, in case anyones reading this. The last few weeks have been so trying on our family. I really feel like it's all connected, so I don't want to blame the kids, but it's awfully hard sometimes. On Monday we went to do Santa Pictures and Beau was totally acting up, we were so nervous that he was going to freak out when we handed him over to the jolly old man. Luckily, he wen't into defense mechinism and looked like he was about to fall asleep, which isn't super cute in a keepsake picture, but it's better than screaming. :) Lily might have actually smiled. We went to dinner after and they were slightly better than the Harmon day. Maybe we're getting somewhere.

When they were good, they were very very good and when they were bad, they were horrid

Well so ends a day of trying very hard to have perfect children out in public and failing miserably. Two times we attempted this, spending money that we don't have only to leave in frustration. I just can't understand it. I couldn't have been more prepared, but they were just determined to not sit still/not be quiet/not listen. Going out to eat is such a special thing to me that it just breaks my heart to have a difficult time with the kids. I wanted to take them out with me because I love them and I enjoy their company, I wish I could reason with them. Oh well, we'll try again someday.

Our day did start out really fun. The kids and I wen't for a walk downtown and played on the steps at the UW Tacoma. Beau and Lily held hands so good and we just had a blast. The weather was perfect, strangers were nice to us, (except at the Library) I guess I just wasted their good behavior then.

BTW I had a delicious halibut sandwich from the Harmon that I would definitly reccomend.

Playdate with Friends

Well we spent our day with our favorite girl. What a great playdate! Princess Monopoly, Dress Up, Adding Machine, PB & J, Shopping, Bank Account, New Coffeemate Creamers, Babies, Apples and PB, Singing, Dancing and Stomping in high heel shoes .... I just love getting to see my little Lily having such a blast with her peers. They're always so good about including Beau, even if he has to play the monster. And he just worships them. I forgot to take a pic of them today, but here's one of my favorites. I hope they're friends forever!

Halloween

Since I started this after Halloween, here's a few pics of our night.

They looked so cute in their costumes, it was pouring down rain, I can't remember the last Halloween that it rained. But we had fun. We wen't to the businesses in Proctor, which turned out to be perfect with the rain. We were able to stay somewhat under cover and didn't have to walk up and down to each house. Instant Gratification for the kids. :) The first piece of candy that got into Beau's bucket made him question, "why was he not eating that candy," but he caught on quick and we had a great time. I just love Halloween costumes. This expression Beau has on his face, pretty much stayed there the whole time I had the camara out, he took his cowboy job very seriously.

Head Rubs

My sweet Beau - B - Beau. He has discovered that he likes me to scratch his head, so he comes up to me, rubs his own head, turns around and waits for me to pick him up and then proceed with the head scratching. My little sweetheart. Lily would never let something like that happen. :)

Lily and I made up a song in the car this week, we've been having such beautiful weather and driving in and out of Tacoma has made us appreciate its beauty, so here it is:

Today we were driving home and Lily asked me:
Lily: "Is God a girl"
Jamie "No God is boy"
Lily: "Oh"
Jamie: "Would you like God to be a girl"
Lily: "Yes"
Jamie: "How come?"
