The results...

Just wanted to post an update. Lily's going to preschool! I figured out a bus route and we drove along it one night to see if walking from the bus to school would be too scary and it looks really good. It'll be from 6th Ave to the school along the back side of Wright Park. It actually looks fun. I'm sure it'll be hard on the first rainy day, but for now I'm optomistic and who knows what will happen. So get ready for some more updates of Lily's adventures (and Beau's and mine:)

The Cabin Part 1

I just wanted to post some of the pictures I have of our kids having a wonderful time at the Ward family cabin. We are so blessed as a family to have such a wonderful time to spend our weekends at.
Not the best picture, but this is Lily, Beau, Ella and Kellen on the swing.
Beau wearing Papa's hat and hearing a story.
Lucky Nana gets a snuggle from Beau on the air mattress. This is the adults favorite thing to do on a hot summer day ... float!
Lily blowing out the candles on her Cinderella cake that we celebrated at the cabin. Isn't mommy creative?! :)

To Preschool or Not to Preschool?

Here is a picture of First Presbyterian where Lily is signed up to start preschool in the fall. I'm starting to get nervous about if it's really going to work out. We had to sell our van a few weeks ago, so I'm pretty much home-bound. So really she's not going to be able to go. The reflection here for me I suppose is that if God wants her to, well then I suppose something will work itself out. Some days I feel fine about that, but other days it's a little harder. Like does God want me to trust Him that He will work out a car situation or to trust Him for guidance in teaching her some preschool myself. I know I need tremendous help in both areas. The other day while playing Chutes and Ladders I got so mad at her for not understanding something. Thats horrible, its a game, she's 4, how could something like that make me mad? So we've been playing lots of games and puzzles lately so that God can just provide a car and I can send her off. :) We'll see what happens. So if anyone has any thoughts or ideas, let me know. The office opens next week, so I'll probably need to cancel her pretty soon before our first payment is deducted.

Help

Lily on yardwork day with the family.
Beau running through the sprinkler at the cabin and splashing water on his head in our pool.
So, I've been having some trouble lately with my pictures being to big. I know nothing about file sizes or anything having to do with computers besides click this, click that. I tried downloading these pictures onto a baby photo contest and I think they said the pictures couldn't be more than 60 kb or mb or something and these were like 900. What am I doing wrong? Is my camara set to the wrong setting or how can I change them once they're on my computer? Who can help me?

Horses and Pop

On a recent trip to the zoo .... (our last one because our membership ran out, boo hoo) Lily finally got a chance to ride on the new carousel, (thank you Grandma) and naturally this became her favorite part of the zoo. So much so that when daddy went in to say goodnight to her, this was all that was worth mentioning to him. "We went to the zoo and I rode on a horse!"
Well what could be better than that ... how about the trip to the McDonalds drive through. First the cutest thing worth mentioning, as Grandma is ordering, Lily says, "Grandma, say water please". Second I hear her proclaim, (after she got her food and the requested water) "This isn't water, I got pop!" After sampling the "water" I agreed that she did in fact recieve Sprite instead of water.
What a special day we had! Horses and Pop!
