Father's Feast
Kyle wrote a great note about Beau for Father's Feast at his school:
The quality that I love about Beau is his adventurous spirit. Beau loves action. Now, this could be wrestling, riding his scooter, sword fighting… He also loves to work outside. He is very good at weeding, and digging, and raking. He can also turn a screwdriver and a wrench, and can even pick out the right tool for the job. As reported to us by his Nana and Papa while watching him and his sister and their two cousins- also a boy and a girl, Beau is on a mission. The girls were busy “nesting” on top of a park big-toy, making house with delicate piles and placings of leaves and twigs while the boys were whacking on trees with big sticks. On hearing this I thought, “Surely he’s not a destroyer. Well, he does like to demolish things. No, that’s not who Beau is.” And then it came to me, “Beau was made to conquer.” This is a much more positive trait than “Destroyer”. A conqueror protects his family and loves and sticks up for his friends. And Beau is learning to conquer the anger that is fighting him in his heart and let God’s patience live there instead.
Beau’s name means “beautiful” or “handsome”, which he obviously is. His first and second names together mean “Beautiful Hope”. I know this might sound sissy, but it’s quite the contrary. “Beautiful Hope” reminds me of Jesus, our beautiful hope of salvation when He conquered sin and death, rescuing us back to God the Father.

Lily's trip to the hospital
Here are some pictures from my phone from our hosiptal stay this weekend. On Saturday, Lily woke up with a fever and we started noticing that she was real tense in the tummy. Trying to pick her up hurt and she was walking hunched over. We finally took her to the ER when we asked her to jump and she couldn't. At the ER, they were convinced it was appendicitis, white blood count was high, ultrasound showed that it was enlarged, but then when they did a CT it came back negative, so they kept her on the observation floor overnight and her pain continued, but never got worse. Today she seems much better, she's not complaining of any pain and she seems to be moving around like normal. We will take her into the dr tomorrow just to be sure, but it seems to be over. So weired and confusing, it's always so frustrating leaving the dr, not knowing anything. But we are so thankful she feels better and is home safe. Thank you all for your prayers, the babysitting, the visits, the teddy bear, the balloon and sticker book. She is a well cared for girl!

Happy Halloween!
I just have to say that we still can't find the charger to our camera's battery charger, so I'm going to have to buy batteries today, so we can capture all of the halloween cuteness. Also a milestone, Lily is in the kitchen pouring cereal for her and Beau. :)
